European-born artists Jeroen Koolhaas and Dre Urhahn (aka: Haas&Hahn) are putting a new face on the poor and soulful favelas of Brazil. Their beautiful urban renewal efforts have thus far turned an expansive portion of concrete into a coy pond mural and a gray central square into a kaleidoscope of color. As a native city dweller and lover of street art, this is right up my alley (ha). Check out Favela Painting for more shots and how to donate to this great project.
